Leather & PU

Texture says a lot before anybody reads the logo.

A considered edit

The useful version wins.

Leather and PU bring a tactile, grown-up quality to everyday pieces. Card holders, folios, notebooks, luggage tags and travel organisers feel personal because the hand notices them before the eye gets to the branding.

It suits professional gifts, hospitality, travel, onboarding and brands that want a calmer, more enduring expression. A good version has clean edges, sensible compartments and a finish that gets better — or at least more familiar — with use.

The lazy version leans on brown leather-look texture and calls it luxury. We look at construction, touch and proportion so the product feels deliberate rather than dressed up.

A little professional paranoia

What makes it work.

Good choices are usually quite practical. Here are the bits worth checking before anything gets made.

01

Be clear about the material

Genuine leather and PU have different qualities, stories and price points. Honesty makes the choice stronger, not less premium.

02

Use the surface carefully

Debossing and foil can look excellent on leather-look materials, but the grain and colour affect the result. Always approve a real sample.

03

Inspect the edges

Stitching, edge paint, lining and hardware are the details that separate a keeper from a prop. Look at the whole object, not just the front.
